About

The seed was planted when I was about 15 years old the day my great-grandmother handed me a hook and some yarn and began teaching me the basic chain. I kept playing with what she taught me until I created a scarf, which I still have to this day; over 40 years later. I remember buying a book with patterns, but all those letters and numbers together, that I know now represents the various stitches, looked like a foreign language to me.

I would pick up my yarn and hook, then put it down. When the internet and online videos were coming about, I’d try to find lessons, but couldn’t seem to find any that I found easy to learn from. However, I never gave up my hook that my Great-grandma gave me.

Flash-forward some years later…

When I started riding the bus on a new rout to commute to work, I thought I “pick it up again” to kill time. I found some videos I could learn from and made my first hat. One thing led to another, and I started making hats, scarves and other items for family. Then more people saw my work as I started posting to Social Media, and then one of my Nieces with a larger following than mine posted a hat I’d given her. It was one of my first ones before I learned hat-making techniques. She loved it so much that she posted and tagged me with a picture of her wearing it with a dress she’d created! More requests came, I honed my skills and expanded my repertoire of creations.

And so, here is my baby CrochetCrazee by Bizeediva.

Let me “hook” you up!
